7.2 Channel THX Audio-Video Receiver

An Audio-Video, or AV receiver serves many roles in the home theater environment.  Not only does it provide amplified “speaker signals” to all of the connected speakers but it routes the specific audio for each channel in a surround sound setup.  An AV receiver also has the responsibility of routing the AV signal from the source equipment that the user selects.  Today’s AV Receivers also host a variety of features for optimizing sound and interfacing with digital and online sources.
